    ....so Dahmer is in heaven? nice...lol. Thats ridiculous. There's no way he deserves a beautiful wonderful place in the afterlife. This is why ill never be a christian, ever and if that means im going to be in hell and away from peopel like Dahmer? and all the other murderers and rapists and pedophiles that have repented? fine. Id rather be in hell. I cant forgive a serial killer. Thats sick. The guy should of been killed way before he was allowed to repent. But hey if GOD actually wants this guy in heaven? so be it, then put me in the Job catagory of stories so i can question GOD's ethics and YES i do believe im better than Dahmer and if you havent child kidnapped, raped kids, murdered innocent people , then you are ALSO a better person than Dahmer, NOT EQUAL to Dahmer or John Wayne Gacy or Bundy. Even that sick preist who interviewed Bundy at the end tried to get Bundy to repent so he gets to be in heaven. If GOD isnt repulsed by evil behaviour, then hes not GOOD at all.....

    This dear sweet man is my hubby's cousin & he had sent this book to him many years ago no long after he had wrote it. My hubby who past away nearly 2 years ago ( July 25th will be 2 years) had started reading it but not sure if he had finished it or not being such a hard worker & just time not always available. I had never had a chance to look through it much until recently when I was going through & getting rid of some old books that I no longer had use for & I kept this one because one it was written by family & two because my hubby still had book marks in it of places that touched him. I am now only a little over 4 chapters into it & I honestly just am so amazed to see what the work of God can do through people! God can bring anyone to a change of heart! I have seen it clear as day in the words that Roy wrote in this book! So if you haven't read it you need too! You will see even Jeffrey found God!

With Jeffrey I see that he feels bad for what he’s done so he has remorse in my opinion he may not show it sometimes but I know inside and and with his speech. One of the leading biblical archeologists William Denver and Carol Meyers both explain archeological evidence does not support the Bible stories as being true: www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/article/archeology-hebrew-bible/ www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/bible/meyers.html "William Dever: From the beginnings of what we call biblical archeology, perhaps 150 years ago, scholars, mostly western scholars, have attempted to use archeological data to prove the Bible. And for a long time it was thought to work. [William Foxwell] Albright, the great father of our discipline, often spoke of the "archeological revolution." Well, the revolution has come but not in the way that Albright thought. The truth of the matter today is that archeology raises more questions about the historicity of the Hebrew Bible and even the New Testament than it provides answers, and that's very disturbing to some people." " Yet many people want to know whether the events of the Bible are real, historic events. We want to make the Bible history. Many people think it has to be history or nothing. But there is no word for history in the Hebrew Bible. In other words, what did the biblical writers think they were doing? Writing objective history? No. That's a modern discipline. They were telling stories. They wanted you to know what these purported events mean." It is not clear who was meant by Habiru. "-Habiru (sometimes written as Hapiru, and more accurately as ʿApiru, meaning "dusty, dirty"[1]) is a term used in 2nd-millennium BCE texts throughout the Fertile Crescent for people variously described as rebels, outlaws, raiders, mercenaries, bowmen, servants, slaves, and laborers"

    Does anyone remember York College's album "Holy Radiant Light"? It was from around 1974. My copy was destroyed in a house fire years ago. I wonder if that recording survives? My recollection was that it had "On Top of the World" by the Carpenters, "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" by The Band, and/or "Take Me Home, Country Roads" by John Denver. But I may be conflating one or more of those numbers from the Hillside Singer's "I'd Like to Teach the World To Sing" released around the same time (and also part of my childhood LP collection).

    This guy doesn't interpret the text correctly. He has a phD yet he gets basic things wrong in the Bible. For example he interprets Matthew 5:17-19 as we do not need to adhere to the law anymore. He accomplish's this by my making 'fulfill' the equivalent of 'abolish'! Also he uses Mark 7:19 to say Jesus declared all foods as clean, which is simply not true.

    • @jakkeday1
      @jakkeday1 3 года назад

      What exactly is finished? Certainly not the Law. The text of Matthew 5:18-19 is very clear. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. - Heaven and earth have not passed away and so neither has the Law. - You may enter heaven, but you will be the least in there if you break the Commandments i.e. the Law.

    • @obamatime1634
      @obamatime1634 3 года назад

      @@jakkeday1 OK SO: I have a few questions: 1: are you one of those people who thinks Paul is a false apostle? 2: Jesus did say on the cross "it is finished" So what do you think that means? And he even said what you eat does not defile you, implying that all food is ok to eat. So what do you make of those verses? Also are we still under the sacrificial system? Because that was part of the law to. You might say Jesus was the final sacrifice, but apparently we are still under the whole law, and not ONE jot or tittle will pass away, right?

    • @jakkeday1
      @jakkeday1 3 года назад

      @@obamatime1634 I'll have a look at the scripture and then aim to give what I understand the meaning of "It is finished" and the place of sacrifice. In the meantime I will answer your other questions about Paul & what Jesus said about what defiles us. (1) No I do not think Paul was a false apostle. Paul followed the Law! There are numerous verses in the scripture that confirm this, for example in Acts chapter 19, there is an accusation that Paul & others were teaching people to abandon the Law. This is completely refuted in the last sentence of Acts 19:24, it reads - "but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law." Read the whole passage for yourself for context. (2) When Jesus talked about what defiles us, he wasn't refering to clean Vs unclean foods. The Pharisees were asking why he hung around with guys (his disciples) who didn't wash their hands before eating bread. He addressed them with a parable and explained it in Mark 7:18‭-‬23 (below): So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?” And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.” if you read the whole passage, it is clear this doesn't imply that all food is ok to eat, as you stated earlier.
